Aim and Scope

The Journal of Health, Wellness, and Community Research (JHWCR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality, interdisciplinary research that advances health, wellness, and community well-being. The journal welcomes submissions from the health sciences, allied health, social sciences, and humanities—wherever research is relevant to health and community care.
JHWCR strongly encourages submissions from young and early-career researchers, supporting the next generation of scholars in global health.

Editorial Process and Ethics

All manuscripts are evaluated through a rigorous double-blind peer review process, with at least two independent experts assessing each submission. Originality is ensured through plagiarism screening (Turnitin threshold <19%). Ethical standards are upheld through requirements for institutional review board (IRB) approval, informed consent, and conflict-of-interest disclosure.

JHWCR adheres to international publishing guidelines and best practices, including those of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).


Open Access and Licensing

JHWCR is fully open access: all articles are freely available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction with appropriate citation. Authors retain copyright.

Fees and Waivers

  • No submission or processing fees are charged.

  • A one-time publication fee of PKR 18,000 (or equivalent in USD) applies only upon acceptance, covering DOI assignment, hosting, and long-term archiving.

  • Waivers and discounts are available for eligible authors, including those from low- and middle-income countries, early-career researchers, and those with financial constraints.
